The "Complete Release"

1. Identify the parties to the agreement
2. State the consideration for the agreement
3. Describe the activities
4. Describe the hazards, risks and possible outcomes
5. Identify some or all of the risks as inherent
6. Provide for the acknowledgment and the expressed assumption of the inherent and other risks. Describe instructional context if applicable. Describe communication of risks to minor.
7. Provide for a release of all claims, including for negligent (but not grossly negligent or intentionally wrong) acts. Identify released and releasing parties.
8. Provide for indemnities against claims of co-participants, family members and others
9. Identify applicable law and venue
10. Consider alternatives to suit (mediation, etc.)
11. Consider cost recovery clause
12. Partial invalidity clause
13. Integration clause
14. Date and signatures
